Maheshwari Vidyapeeth owns its existence to the vision and foresight of Maheshwari Samaj, SURAT. The Samaj had long felt that an opportunity should be provided on our own soil for children to obtain good education in its all encompassing sense and for a model the Samaj choose the English Medium School for adaptation to the growing needs of the present time.
MAHESHWARI SAMAJ is one of the renowned Vaishnav Caaste, The Maheshwari Samaj has a glorious history, for its contribution in all the spheres of nation building. The Samaj has not only led the nation in development of commerce and industry but has also played a vital role in freedom fighting and social upliftment of the country.
With support from a wide range of members of the Samaj, an Educational Institution was promoted in the year 2000 named and styled as "SHRI MAHESHWARI SHIKSHAN SANSTHAN."
SHRI. MAHESHWARI SHIKSHAN SANSTHAN is a society registered under The Societies Act 1860 and The Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. The sole object of the sansthan is to promote and impart education and to educational services. The mission of the sansthan is "Excellence in education with development of values and character". Moving a first step towards this mission, the sansthan started "Shreeya Devi Bhagirath Rathi Maheshwari Vidyapeeth." As a Senior Secondary School from the year 2001.
